The new purpose of the building is to be the headquarters of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Carrara (Bank), therefore the restoration has included the creation of places and structures intended for cultural and public activities such as the conference room and exhibition spaces to be made available to the city. This maintains the dual public-private value that the building has always had since its origins and confirms the Foundation’s desire to make the building a meeting and social and cultural center. Today the Palace presents 1) on the ground floor: a conference room with about 80 seats and two small exhibition rooms intended for temporary exhibitions proposed by local artists
on the first floor: five exhibition rooms intended for temporary exhibitions of a larger scope;
2) on the second floor: the operational offices of the Foundation;
3) on the attic floor: in addition to a large meeting room, there are the operational offices of Fondazione Progetti S.r.l. (an instrumental company of the Foundation itself).
4) the garden: revalued through a revision of the previous architecture and transformed into a small marble amphitheater, in addition to hosting the Foundation’s own initiatives, it is made available to the community for public events and weddings.
