FACULDADE DE BELAS ARTES U.PORTO (FBAUP) INSTITUTO DE INVESTIGAÇÃO EM ARTE DESIGN E SOCIEDADE (I2ADS)

Located in the heart of Porto, the Faculty of Fine Arts (FBAUP) is dedicated to education, research, practice, and knowledge transfer in art and design. FBAUP offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programs leading to BA, MA and PhD degrees in Fine Arts (DAP), Design and Arts Education (DEA), and a range of specializations and lifelong learning courses. Research at FBAUP is hosted by two research centers: the Research Institute in Art, Design and Society (i2ADS) and the Institute for Design, Media and Culture (ID+).
The i2ADS, Research Institute in Art, Design and Society, is an R&D unit financed by the FCT, and its mission is to promote research across disciplines and its impact on educational and societal challenges. The Institute is a portal partner of the Society for Artistic Research (with 16.000 registered users), with privileged access to a research network in arts and online international journals. i2ADS is also a member of the European Educational Research Association. The relation of the i2ADS with the PhD DAP and DEA promote constant synergies with its students, involving them with the researchers of the Institute in different projects.
