The Young European Sculpture (YES) project reached its concluding chapter with a dynamic week of artistic exchange, collaboration, and reflection at the (ABAC), Italy, from May 12 to 16, 2025.

Following earlier masterclasses held in Tours (2023), Porto (2024), and Kuldīga (2024), this final exchange in Carrara represented the project’s closing chapter. Set against the backdrop of the region’s rich sculptural heritage, the programme combined hands-on workshops, immersive cultural visits, and academic exchange. Highlights included:

• Guided tours of Carrara’s historic marble quarries and local archaeological sites
• Sculpture workshops and labs focusing on both traditional techniques and experimental practices
• Lectures and round tables addressing sculpture’s role in society, space, and material exploration
• A final exhibition, showcasing the collective work of participating students and celebrating the evolution of their artistic voices
