He graduated from the Professional Institute of Marble “Pietro Tacca” in Carrara (1977). He moved to Bern to work in the Zutter Atelier. He graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara. He participated in the “1st Sculpture Symposium” in Carrara, where in 1980 he won the “Purchase Award” from the Municipality of Carrara.In 1984 he opened his studio in Carrara, working with important artists and architects to create works in marble. Since 1990 he has been teaching at the Academies of Fine Arts, including Bologna, Milan and Carrara, where he currently holds the chair of Marble and Semiprecious Stone Techniques. In 2003 he was the technical director of the “XV International Symposium” in Carrara.He has had exhibitions in Hamburg, Friolzheim, Heidenheim and Ramstadt, Paris Neuchàtel.He has taken part in numerous international symposiums, in Carrara, Germany, Spain, France.He has created many sculptures for public spaces, in Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Colombia France, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Belgium.
